Hanuman Chalisa Event 2013
Congratulations to all who were involved in organising AND participating in last weeks Hanuman Chalisa.
It certainly was sensible to have a professional bhajan mandli to come on the day to sing & lead on the 108 chanting of the Chalisa & any critics internally or otherwise just have to remember the lack of momentum, Rhythm or Sur in HC 2012. Like this year, I remember that in HC 2011 the then committee team had asked a bhajan mandli to lead from the afternoon, who sang Hanuman Chalisa in several raags ending on a very high note with lovely dhuns. All present on that day too appreciated & thoroughly enjoyed the event.
My only request, if we were to ask the mandli again, is to ask them to start much earlier in the morning so that they would not need to sing the extremely fast ones where it was difficult to follow & sing together by all.
Otherwise an excellent event. Very well organised with culture club students item as the icing on the cake or should is say "Khas khas on the Laadoo"
